Tegenungan Waterfall
Tegenungan Waterfall is located in located at the Tegenungan Kemenuh village, in Gianyar, North from the capital Denpasar and close to the artist village of Ubud. The waterfall is isolated but has become a popular tourist attraction to explore and relax. It is one of the few waterfalls in Bali that is not situated in highlands or mountainous territory.
The clarity and volume of water at the site depends on rainfall but it contains green surroundings with fresh water that can be swum in. The waterfall includes varying highs that can be climbed after the descent down stairs to reach it. This attraction also features a viewing point to the jungle and waterfall at the main entrance.
Tegallalang Rice Terraces
Tegallalang Rice Terraces are located only 20 minutes north of Ubud. The area is one of Bali’s most famous tourist attractions for it beautiful rice terraces.
If you want one of Bali’s best tourist photos, then this is the spot. Offering dramatic views and vistas, the rice terraces sprawl down and away on the slopes and across the valley. For a small fee, a farmer who is also a local elder and land owner invites visitors to purchase woven hat handmade by himself as well as sample his green coconut drink.
Ubud Royal Palace
The Ubud Palace, officially Puri Saren Agung, is a historical building complex situated in Ubud, Gianyar Regency of Bali, Indonesia. The palace is the official residence of the royal family of Ubud. It was on his travels that he received a divine revelation that in Bali he was to bury five precious metals on a mountain slope where the mother temple of Besakih now stands today.
Along with a group of followers, Rsi Markaneya was magnetically attracted to a destination located in the central foothills of the island that radiated light and energy. This place was Campuhan in Ubud at a junction in the Wos River and it was here that he felt compelled to build a temple by the name of Pura Gunung Lebah.
Ubud Markets
The Ubud Art Market, also referred to by the locals as Pasar Seni Ubud, is an artisan, handicraft and tourist market in the centre of Ubud Town. It’s open every day from 8am to 6pm and is an absolute must when you’re in Ubud. You will discover a lot of different handicrafts and absolute hidden gems that makes it all a fantastic experience.
The markets are located opposite the the Royal Ubud Palace, at Jalan Raya Ubud No.35. The street of Jalan Karna is actually a walking street that makes up a large part of the market, so if you aim for that you’ll be in the heart of it. There are also a number of smaller buildings scattered around those streets that house sections of the markets.
