Below is a description of each of the places you will visit.
Tanah Lot Temple
Tanah Lot Temple is located 30km west of Denpasar in the Beraban countryside. This breathtaking temple complex is built upon approx. 3 acres and can only be reached by a short walk from the carpark.
The Tanah Lot Temple is one of Bali’s most iconic landmarks with spectacular sunset views and amazing photo opportunities at any time of the day.
It is also home to amazing surfing conditions, which can be seen clearly from the tops of the cliffs as you approach the temple.
Taman Ayun Temple
Taman Ayun translated means ‘beautiful garden’ and is generally regarded as one of the most attractive temples of Bali.
The Taman Ayun temple is situated in a beautiful park with trees and ponds, near the village of Mengwi in the south of Bali at about 8 km southwest of Ubud and 18 km northwest of Denpasar.
The majestic Taman Ayun was built in 1634 by the Raja of Mengwi, I Gusti Agung Putu and underwent a significant restoration project in 1937.
It is a referred to as a Pura Kawiten or “family temple” or ‘mother temple”, a special temple where the ancestors of the Raja Dynasty of Mengwi and important gods of other temples are honored.
Jatiluwih Rice Terrace
Jatiluwih Rice Terrace is truly one of Bali’s most favourite tourist destinations with its spectacular rice terraces unfolding from the base of Mount Batukaru stretching towards the ocean. The rice fields follow the natural landscape of the Batukaru mountain range.
The views are truly breathtaking and the name itself indicates this as well – Jati meaning “really” and Luwih meaning “good” or “beautiful”.
This attraction is considered a ‘must-see’ when you travel to Bali simply for the majestic panoramas and photographic opportunities.
